Sizes, setup and print details

Classic Flags come in 3 sizes — Small (100 cm W x 70 cm H), Medium (150 cm W x 100 cm H) and Large (225 cm W x 150 cm H) — with custom sizes also available if you need something specific. You can order fabric only or add a pole for straightforward mounting to your building. Flags are produced using dye sublimation on translucent polyester fabric. Because the material is slightly sheer, your design remains visible from both sides even though print is applied to 1 side only — worth keeping in mind when creating your artwork.

Design, order and care for your flags

Use Vistaprint's online design studio to build your layout from scratch, choose from a range of customisable templates or upload your own artwork. If you need a hand at any point, design support is available 24/7. To keep your flags looking their best, hand-wash in cold water and air-dry — just be aware that washing removes the fire retardant properties and the B1 classification will no longer apply afterwards.

Template guidelines not accurate!

I designed my flag so the design was completely within the provided bleed lines on the template, but when it arrived, part of the print had been cut off. I raised this with customer service who said they had tweaked the design for me and sent out a new one, but when it arrived, it had the same issue. So the template isn't fit for purpose. They did acknowledge my complaint and take action quickly, but unfortunately didn't manage to rectify the problem. I would not recommend the square flags as a result of this, as the guidelines provided cannot be trusted. I was also sent a request for this review and the submission button in the email didn't work!

Yes, you can order a facade flag with a flagpole as an optional extra. Alternatively, you can order just the fabric without the flagpole.

Follow the steps below to safely and securely set up your wall-mounted flag:

STEP 1: Screw the flagpole base into the wall.

STEP 2: Attach the flag strings to the loops on the flagpole.

STEP 3: Insert the flagpole into the base, making sure it is secure.

Currently, we only offer 1-sided printing.

Our facade flags are printed using dye sublimation on translucent polyester. The resulting flags are slightly sheer, which lets the design show through to be visible on both sides.

Our custom flags are synthetic polyester made from post-consumer recycled materials and our flagpoles and wall attachments are made from aluminium.

Yes, the material is DIN 4102 certified and classified as B1 fire retardant.

Yes, but please be aware that they will no longer be considered fire retardant, and they will lose their B1 classification. If you still choose to wash your flag, we recommend washing it with cold water and then letting it air dry.

That depends on the flag size. Our flagpole is the same for all sizes – 200 cm (2 metres) in length and 3 cm in diameter. Please see dimensions for each of our wall-mounted flag sizes below:
