Whether you're a parent tired of losing school uniforms and PE kits to the lost-and-found, or a small business owner looking for a simple way to brand fabric products, clothing stamps can help. A quick press marks any item with your custom text, so there's no confusion over who owns what — and no need to sew in labels or iron on tags each time.
What you need to know
Each stamp measures 38 x 14 mm and comes with a textile ink pad using skin-safe black ink. It works on cotton, linen, polyester and mixed fibres, and is best used on lighter clothing or textile labels. You can include up to 3 lines of custom text, with a minimum font size of 8pt. The stamp is built to last, with up to 10,000 uses and ink that holds through up to 30 wash cycles. To keep the pad in good condition, take it out and close it after each use — textile ink dries out faster than standard ink pads.
Easy to design and order
Designing your clothing stamp is straightforward with Vistaprint's online tool. Add a name, contact details or short branding text across up to 3 lines. You can also include logos, shapes and other design elements to suit your needs. Once you're happy with your design, we'll take care of the rest and deliver your order straight to your door.

Unfortunately couldn’t tell before getting it that the text size was way too small. But admittedly the name printed is very long. Would have been great if the system gave a recommended minimum size or allow spilt across two Iines to ensure readability

I was disappointed with this for the money that I paid for it. as not as clear as my logo and cannot make out the 1st letter which has a door in the R.

The ink prints inconsistently and I think it looks cheap. You can only print it onto cotton as printing on a satin ribbon, for example, made the ink bleed.

Yes, although the product is intended for use on textiles rather than skin, the ink is dermatologically tested and considered safe for skin contact.
You can fit up to three lines of text, with a minimum font size of 8pt.
The custom stamp is suitable for direct marking of lighter (sports) clothing or textile labels. It works well on cotton, linen, polyester and mixed fibres.
Our clothing stamp ink is designed to remain visible for up to 30 washing cycles at 60°C or 10 washes at 90°C. You can also easily reapply it as needed, so there's no need to worry about the print fading over time.
With the right care, your stamp can be used up to 10,000 times
To ensure the ink lasts longer, we recommend taking the stamp ink pad out and closing it after each use. Textile ink tends to dry out faster than normal ink pads.
We do not currently offer the option to order a new ink pad. However, we are actively working to add it to our offering in the near future.
