This was a replacement set for an order for Spot UV swing tags that arrived with no Spot UV, and the replacement set also didn’t have the Spot UV. Really disappointed as I needed them for an event this weekend.

No Spot UV added - again

14 Sept 2026 | Lynne E.

This is a replacement set for the first set I ordered that had no Spot UV added, and again it’s got no spot UV added. I needed them for an event this weekend. I ordered from you guys because I thought it would be more reliable than a company further afield, but now I feel like I should have just ordered elsewhere 😌

Response from Vistaprint Customer Care Team:

Thank you for your review. We’re sorry to hear that the replacement set arrived without the Spot UV again, especially with your event coming up this weekend. We understand how frustrating and disappointing this must be after already experiencing the same issue with your original order. Please reply to this email with your order number, so we can review the details and determine how we can assist.

No Spot UV added

I'm not sure what's happened but there's no Spot UV on my tags whatsoever. Very disappointed, and the print quality isn't very sharp either.

Response from Vistaprint Customer Care Team:

We're very sorry to hear that the spot UV finish was not applied to your cards and apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. We'll be happy to look into this matter further for you if you would reply with the order number for the product or the email address associated with the account the order is on.

Frequently asked questions

The base colour for our spot UV tags is white, but you can print your designs in full colour on the front and back of the tags.

The spot UV coating itself is colourless and is applied on top of any print colour you like. However, because it's a physical polymer layer on top of the print, it will darken the underlying colour to some extent.

The spot UV finish can be applied to up to 75% of the swing tag, but only on the front. The spot UV finish cannot be applied to the back of the swing tags.

Due to the spot UV finish, these swing tags are not currently widely recyclable.

The custom spot UV tags do not come with any string, but you can add cotton string to your basket before checkout. You’ll receive a 7 m long cotton or jute rope. It’s 2 mm thick and can be cut for use for about 50 tags.
