These aren’t great quality at all. I can’t use them for my parcels, they look and feel cheap and the printing is blurred.

Our compostable mailing bags are ideal for sending lightweight items such as clothes and accessories. You can use them on their own or as extra packaging inside a larger parcel. For fragile items, it’s best to use them as an extra layer inside more robust shipping boxes.

Our compostable mailers are not suitable for home composting. They require specific heat and humidity levels found only in industrial composting facilities.

We encourage you to advise your customers to check with their local council for industrial composting facilities. Note that not all areas have the necessary infrastructure.

When disposing of these mailers, it’s recommended to follow these tips:

Ensure they are free of non-compostable materials like labels, stickers or tape, unless those items are also compostable.
Use designated industrial compost bins if available in your community, provided by the waste management service.

Our industrially compostable mailer bags are made from a plant-based resin derived from either corn or beetroot waste. This gives them a unique tint, so they’re not pure white, but have a slight coral or ivory shade. The exact colour depends on the material and is naturally determined, so we cannot offer a choice of material colour during your order.

Our compostable mailers may have a faint smell due to the natural materials and special adhesive used. It’s nothing unpleasant or artificial, but it’s something to consider if you’re sending items like clothing that could pick up the scent easily.

All our compostable poly mailers can hold up to 2.26 kg, regardless of their size.

Yes, all of our compostable poly mailers match standard parcel dimensions used by Royal Mail, DPD, InPost and DHL. For more details, please see the size chart below.

Currently, single-colour printing is only available on the front of compostable poly mailers.

Due to the nature of this product, it is only possible to print single-colour graphics on the front of these compostable mailer bags. Please keep this in mind when selecting your design.

Shipping envelopes are flat and made of paper, making them ideal for sending flat products. However, they’re not water-resistant and are prone to tearing. Compostable poly mailers, in contrast, are flexible and can accommodate different products. Plus, they’re tear and weather-resistant.
