Our unique coffee packaging ensures that your beans and ground coffee stay fresh by protecting against moisture, and blocking out any odors that may affect the natural aroma of your coffee. Each of your coffee pouches is equipped with a degassing valve that allows the natural gasses produced by the coffee to be released. This prevents the pouch from inflating and ensures that the packaging always looks great, even when stored. Frequently asked questions
Coffee pouches are a type of stand up pouch, but, unlike other standup pouches, these include a degassing valve. Our coffee pouches are also made with a coffee-friendly material (a layer of metalised polypropylene between 2 layers of polypropylene) and are available in specific sizes.
The degassing valve is common practice in the coffee industry – it allows gasses naturally produced by your coffee to escape from the pouch. Without a valve, the pouch would swell and customers may (incorrectly) think that something is wrong with the coffee inside. Our degassing valves are one-way, so the gasses get out, nothing else gets in and your coffee stays fresh.
Below is a reference guide for volume using coffee beans:
- 13 x 7 x 22 cm: 180 g of coffee beans
- 15 x 7 x 25 cm: 300 g of coffee beans
- 19 x 11 x 26 cm: 500 g of coffee beans

Our coffee packaging is made of 3 layers:
Outer layer: polypropylene (25-30 μm) It’s available in gloss, matte and soft touch finishes.
Middle layer: metalised polypropylene (18 μm) Provides gas and light barriers and preserves the flavour. It’s also an excellent moisture barrier.
Inner layer: polypropylene (80 μm) Acts as a moisture barrier and a sealing layer. This layer is safe and approved for contact with food.
Yes, it is approved for optimal storage for up to 6 months at room temperature or below. They can be heated up to 70°C for up to 2 hours, or up to 100°C for up to 15 minutes.
Yes, VistaPrint’s coffee pouches are widely recyclable. However, this may vary depending on the area in which you are using and trying to recycle our products, so we recommend you check with your local council and/or recycling centre to confirm.
