Versatile & informative

Stapled booklets are folded sheets bound along the spine with metal staples – a simple, professional format for sharing information in print. Whether you're creating menus, magazines, catalogues, price lists or corporate brochures, custom stapled booklet printing gives customers a real feel for your business. They're compact and convenient, and easy to include in promotional handouts, giveaways and more. Choose side-binding for traditional booklets or top-binding for easy-flip presentations. With 4–80 internal pages, you have plenty of space to include images, charts and other essential and eye-catching information.

Impactful & durable

Our staple-bound book printing can help you make those impressions count with a professional, sophisticated touch. From product catalogues and guides to event programmes, reports and pamphlets, saddle-stapled binding is one of the most popular and cost-effective options in publishing. Each saddle-stitched booklet includes 4 cover pages (2 at the front, 2 at the back). With matte and glossy cover options, full-colour printing and metal staples, your booklet is designed for durability and style – all at a competitive staple-binding price.

Intuitive design process

Our uploading experience is designed to make it as easy as possible to print your own stapled booklet. To begin, choose your booklet's size and number of pages – keeping bleed areas and the fold and spine in mind when placing key content – then upload your PDF using our easy upload system. Next, select your cover and inner paper stock (heavier stocks improve durability and quality) before you proceed to checkout. After that, we’ll take care of the rest and make sure your file is correctly formatted and ready to print. Your professionally printed stapled booklets will arrive looking great and ready to impress.

After using Vista for a number of projects through different businesses I have received countless orders. The last 3 however have been nothing but terrible. Pixelated images, grainy text and problems from the get go which was double checked by team members at Vista print before proceeding to print. My latest order was halted twice and confirmed by production that the file quality was good for printing and I spent almost 3k on a 5000 booklets order. This arrived with the same issues and the same poor feedback was provided from Vista print who advised the issue was with the file and not their printing. I will not be using Vista again, I would prefer to pay more for a superior product locally. I’m still waiting to see if I will receive my almost £3000 refund for the stapled booklets that will go straight into recycling.

Frequently asked questions

Yes — for a successful print, we recommend following these design tips and upload specifications.

Format: Your file needs to be in PDF format — without password protection.

Layout: Your file should include single pages, each arranged in the correct reading order. Make sure your file includes all of your pages — including four cover pages.

Blank Pages: If you want blank inside cover pages, make sure you include blank pages within your PDF file.

Colours: Stapled booklets are printed in CMYK. Images provided in RGB or PANTONE colours will be converted.

Resolution: 300 dpi (dots per inch) is the required resolution for stapled booklets. Lower resolutions may affect the printing quality.

Bleeds: For an accurate print, include a 3 mm bleed on every side of every page. If you encounter file upload issues, double-check your bleed — it may exceed the accepted ±0.25 threshold.

Margins: Keep all text at least 1 cm from the margins. Anything closer may be too close to the edge (or the binding) to easily read.

For detailed information on how to design your custom booklets, download our PDF guide.

Staple binding is a style that uses 2 metal staples to turn individual pieces of paper into a cohesive booklet. Since the staples are placed down the centre of the papers, each piece of paper becomes 4 booklet pages.

Stapled booklets are a popular choice for an assortment of projects or business needs — we particularly recommend them for price lists, product catalogues, event programmes, brochures, pamphlets and magazines. They may also work well for restaurants or cafes in need of longer, more detailed menus.

Your stapled booklets can include 8–84 pages — this includes 4 cover pages (front cover, inside front cover, back cover and inside back cover). For example, an 8-page booklet = 4 cover pages + 4 inside pages. You can increase or decrease a stapled booklet’s page count in increments of 4: 12 pages, 16 pages, 20 pages, etc.

No, you’re not required to — you’ll just need to include blank pages in your print-ready PDF. But if you’d like to utilise all the space and add content to all 4 cover pages, you’re welcome to do that, too.

The cover paper for your stapled booklets will be laminated — they help protect booklets from wear and are a great way to show off your cover design. Our laminated covers are available in matte or glossy. You can select the same cover thickness as your internal pages, or go with a 300 gsm option for sturdier covers.

Sample booklets are not available, but you can order a single booklet. This is a great way to see how your printed booklet looks before you order a larger amount.
