Frequently asked questions
We use transparent, removable transfer tape to keep everything in place while you’re applying your transfer stickers. Once your sticker is in the right spot, simply remove the top layer of tape to reveal your design.
There’s no leftover material once you apply your transfer stickers. You’ll peel off the front and back layers, so only the custom design stays on your chosen surface.
Transfer stickers can be applied to glass, metal, plastic, ceramic, wood, leather and more – just not fabrics, silicone or surfaces with adhesive repellents. If you need stickers for fabrics, check out our Heat Transfers.
The best removal method depends on the surface. Use the table below as a guide.
| Surface | Best Method | Precaution |
|---|---|---|
| Glass | Heat or acetone | Very durable; you can use a razor blade at a low angle for residue. |
| Metal | Heat or alcohol | Safe, but acetone may damage painted or powder-coated finishes. |
| Plastic/Acrylic | Warm water soak | Avoid high heat (warping) and acetone (melting). |
For any surface, start by gently heating the sticker with a hair dryer to loosen the adhesive. Use a scraper or craft tool to carefully lift the edges, then peel slowly to avoid tearing. Remove any leftover residue with the method recommended for your surface.
