The more attention you draw to key details like your company logo or name, the more likely people are to remember them. To prevent blending or smudging between letters, avoid using raised foil on very thin fonts or details, as well as double-lined borders. For best results, use a minimum 12pt font size and avoid using foil next to the edges. Make sure all foil-printed elements are fully within the safe lines for printing and cutting your cards.

I hope you’re well. I’m writing to express my concern regarding the recent batch of 250 Elara Luxe scent cards. While I provided a high-resolution SVG file to ensure accurate and uncompromised print quality, I’ve received cards with highly inconsistent foil application. The gold foil , especially on the word “LUXE” is visibly uneven, faded, or under-pressed on most of the cards. Only a few cards have the clean, polished finish we expected. Given the quality of the file and the quantity ordered, this appears to be a production or foil transfer issue. As a luxury brand, it is extremely important that all elements, especially printed materials, reflect consistency and refinement. I’ve attached a reference video to show the issue clearly.

Upon reviewing your design, we noted that the font style used for “LUXE” includes thin lines positioned closely to other elements. As noted on our product page, raised foil is best suited for larger design elements and fonts with a minimum size of 12pt. Smaller fonts or fine details may not yield optimal printing results, which can lead to inconsistencies such as those you've observed. We include this recommendation to help set expectations and guide design decisions for the best possible output. That said, we absolutely understand how important consistency and quality are, especially for luxury branding. Frequently asked questions

We’d recommend using a minimum 12pt font size to make sure there’s no blending or smudging between letters. Fonts that are extremely thin, or that have very small spaces between (or even inside) letters, may not give you the most crisp printing results. Not surprisingly, we’d advise you to avoid using foil for very fine details, as well as double-lined borders. Lastly, make sure any foil-printed areas are fully within the safety area for the printing and cutting of your cards.

You can choose from gold or silver foil. For an alternative, you can check out our foil accent business cards, where the foil is printed flat and matches the original colours of the design.

The foil is printed on top of a premium matte paper.

Not at this time. Owing to a more complex printing process, we’re only able to offer pre-designed templates for raised foil business cards. However, there are many to choose from, giving you some flexibility with regard to what information, design elements and images are foil-printed.

The matte paper is 300 gsm.

Not at the moment. The unique foil printing process only allows us to offer single-sided foil printing. However, you can still add a printed backside for an additional cost.
