The effect is a bit more subtle than I was hoping for, but it likely depends on what your image is/what you are after. You can still see the effect, and its a nice touch. All of vista prints -cards tend to end up a bit darker in color than the colours you pick digitally, so you'll want to plan around that. (not drastically so) Otherwise, they are of great quality and feel pretty sturdy. I'm using them as backing cards for enamel pins over business cards and these are prefect for it.

This paper works best with lighter-coloured designs. Rich pops of a darker accent colour print beautifully, but if your design is predominantly black or dark grey, you’re less likely to see the full shimmer effect of the paper. And if your design uses photographs, you may want to consider a different paper stock.

When you print a design on pearl paper, the shimmer is seen on your entire design – including the front and back of your card. Our metallic finish is a specialty option available on select card paper stocks – when you use this finish, you can add a foil-like effect to specific areas of your card (front side only).
