They're also puncture-resistant for added protection. Our pouches are made with multilayer plastics, while aluminium and paper options contain additional materials for enhanced barrier properties. Please note that if you choose pouches with a metallic film, you’ll be unable to print a design in white as it will not show up on the material.

Yes, all of our custom flat pouches are leak-proof and suitable for direct food contact.

If you are packaging fatty or oily foods, we strongly recommend you do not use recyclable white paper with PP coating.

Our multi-layer aluminium film is not microwave safe, but the rest of our flexible flat pouches are. They can be heated up to 70 °C for 2 hours, or to 100 °C for up to 15 minutes. They can also be stored in a freezer as low as -15 °C, though they are not suitable for deep freezing.

Yes, our personalised pouches protect against external moisture and oxygen, which helps keep the contents inside fresh. Our metallised bags offer the most protection from light — natural or fluorescent. If you need extra puncture resistance, we highly recommend our multilayered white and multilayered transparent options. Plus, all of our pouches will keep your contents fresh for over 6 months when stored in a cool, dry place.

Your pouches will arrive open at the top, so you can fill them! This means you will have to seal them yourself with an impulse heat sealer, which helps protect contents from being exposed to the elements or damaged in transit.

If your customer is likely to discard the pouch immediately after your product has been removed, then you don't need a zip. If your product is designed for long-term use, we recommend adding a zip to make it easy for customers to open and close the pouch.
If you do add a zip, a single-track zip will be added approximately 4 cm from the top edge of the pouch, depending on pouch size. To see exact placement by size, you can download a template of your desired size from the ‘Specs & Templates’ section of this page.

For our 80 x 130 mm pouch, you can add a 7 mm round hole. For all other sizes, you can add a Euro hole which is 1 x 3 cm.

Yes, you can print on the front and back of the pouch.

In order to always guarantee maximum protection for your products, paper and aluminium pouches cannot have windows. Plastic films, on the other hand, can have windows of any shape and size.

Our flexible packaging is laboratory tested to preserve food for an extended time at room temperature or below. Compatible with the qualities of the product and its perishability, our pouches provide protection for more than six months. Store the product in a dry, protected, clean place and in closed packages to prevent contamination. Store out of direct sunlight and at a temperature not exceeding 30°C and not below 15°C.
