Materials & sizes for any event
Choose from three durable, PVC-free materials. For a lightweight, all-purpose banner, our 310 gsm standard material is a water-resistant classic. If you need to block light completely, choose either the 310 gsm standard blockout for short-term outdoor use or the heavyweight 360 gsm premium blockout, offering maximum durability comparable to vinyl — at a lower weight. For added protection, an anti-scratch varnish can be applied to improve resistance to scratches and weathering. Need to hang it? Add eyelets for easy mounting on fences, walls or ceilings.

Yes. Our standard, standard blockout and premium PVC-free material options are designed for indoor and outdoor use. Our PVC-free material delivers the same weather resistance and durability as traditional vinyl banners – but without the environmental downsides of PVC.
No, but eyelets are highly recommended for a secure, reinforced hold when you’re using rope, zip ties or a stand. If you’re planning on hanging your banner outside, our 1.27 cm metal eyelets are important for an easy, long-lasting display.
The number of eyelets varies by banner size:
- 25 x 50 cm: 4 eyelets
- 50 x 100 cm: 6 eyelets
- 50 x 150 cm: 6 eyelets
- 50 x 200 cm: 8 eyelets
- 100 x 100 cm: 8 eyelets
- 100 x 200 cm: 10 eyelets
- 100 x 300 cm: 14 eyelets
If you order a custom-sized banner, the number of eyelets needed will be automatically added.
When you choose reinforcement, we’ll use our heat-welding process to add strengthened hemming to the edges of your banner. This reinforcement ensures that the banner will not tear when used in windy conditions.
Our PVC-free polyester is a durable alternative material. It is as weather and water-resistant and durable as vinyl, but designed for cleaner disposal.
When that time comes, there are several options that may be available.
Take it to your local waste centre: For most people, this will be the most commonly available option. When you drop off your banner, it will most likely be incinerated — and this is where the banner material is important. Materials made with PVC release toxins when they burn, which can be harmful to humans and the environment. Our PVC-free material doesn’t have those toxins, so the burn is cleaner. What’s more, that incineration generates energy that can be used elsewhere (this is a process known as waste to energy, or WTE).
Contact a specialist recycling service: Polyester fibres are coated with a film that needs to be taken off before it can be recycled. Specialist recycling services will pick up your banner — for a fee — remove the film and recycle the material.
Upcycle: This durable material can be turned into a variety of objects, including bags, seat covers, placemats and more.
Absolutely. We offer full-bleed and full-colour banner printing on all of our available materials.
Creases should smooth out over time. But if you need to speed up the process, place your vinyl banner under a heavy, flat object, that will help creases come out. To avoid creasing while storing, we recommend you don’t put anything on top of the banner. We also recommend you wash your hands every time you handle the banner.
All materials, except 310 gsm Standard, are fire-retardant. This material is for outdoor use only. This material does not meet indoor fire safety standards (e.g., B1, EN 13501-1) and is not suitable for indoor application.
