Guillaume Grando aka “SupaKitch” was born in Paris and started by creating graffiti art there in the 90s. His work is influenced by gesture, movement, light and matter.
Guillaume ‘SupaKitch’ Grando was born in Bagnolet in the suburbs of Paris in 1978. He started graffing at the age of 12 and took a degree in Graphic Design in 1997. Raised on manga and hip-hop culture, and passionate about art and music since his childhood, SupaKitch found many sources of inspiration in the street and many ways to channel his talent. His first graffiti dates back to 1990.
In the early 2000s, as a multidisciplinary artist with a strong background in graphic design and art direction, SupaKitch was involved in prestigious collaborations with Figaret, BMW, IKEA and famous Swiss watchmaker Parmigiani Fleurier.
Since his first walls in 1990, SupaKitch is often accompanied by his wife and fellow artist Koralie. His art works are exhibited in Europe, the United States and Asia.
Guillaume Grando gradually broke with figuration in his painting to focus on what he considers the essential: gesture, movement, light and matter. He is influenced by his surfing experience and other experimentation with materials in his artistic approach. His work is inspired by transforming real matter into abstraction while stimulating nostalgic feelings and summer memories.
